Welcome to Year 2!
Year 2 is a very exciting and busy year, as it is a chance for the children to show off all the amazing skills they have developed during Reception and Year 1. Year 2 encourages children to become more independent with their work to prepare them for their next step into KS2 and beyond! Our learning will take place both in and outside of the classroom, using the wonderful outdoor areas at Harris and going on trips to exciting places, such as Farmer Parrs and the beach. The Year 2 children take pride in being the top of KS1 and being role models for the other children. Our children work hard to be the best they can be and embody our Harris values of being kind, thankful and ambitious.

Key Information
- Homework is handed out every half-term using a ‘Homework Takeaway’ sheet and spelling tests are completed every Friday. Please see the tab above for more information.
- Monday is our book changing day for Home Readers.
- Our PE day is on Fridays, where children come to school wearing their full PE kit.
